Throat infection: May be the start of a throat infection - pharyngitis. Gargle with warm salt water. Drink plenty of water and rest. If not too serious should pass in a few days. Phelgm in throat: You are young for throat cancer unless you chewed a lot of betel nuts. More likely you have sinusitis, allergies with phelgm could try Zyrtec (cetirizine) and see if it helps . May be indolent infection/ sinusitis like mycoplasma for whihc you need antibiotics .Since it is 3 weeks would get it checked out by urgent care/ doctor this week. ...Read more
Are they related?: Is the hard painless lump related to a sore throat? You could have a hard painless lump on the roof of your mouth which is completely normal. It might be there for many years and you did not notice it. It is called tori. Check with a dentist about the lump and check with a physician for sore throat.
