Bumps aren't normal : There on your pinky. Do you mean nodule? Circulation may be an issue during the cold weather. Discuss this with your PCP so s/he can evaluate you further and see what can be done for treatment options. ...Read more

There are other kinds of mostly benign skin nodules and cysts that could do this, and there are certain malformations of blood vessels that can do this. While I don't think it is urgent, I do think you should see a doctor because if is getting irritated enough for recurrent bleeding, it might get infected. It can be removed. ...Read more

Sorry to hear that you have been worried. Based on your description, it sound like it is nothing to worry about. If it is a pressure point where you normally grip the pencil or pen, it is probably just a callus. Rest on that area or loosening your grip on the pencil will help it disappear.
