Does bulge soft spot in 10 mths a sign for hydrocephalus due to IV hemorrhage. No other symptoms. Neurologist wants to wait for next appt in 3 weeks?

Hydrocephalus: Sounds scary. An ultrasound can be done. Has the head circumference increased more than usual? Is the soft spot compressible? Perhaps it would be wise to check with your pediatrician to see if an appointment before that time would be beneficial. I imagine the neurologist may want to see unusual growth of head circumference prior to referring to a pediatric neurosurgeon for shunt placement. ...Read more

Acute pain in calf muscle at a specific spot. I can feel a slight bulge when I touch the spot. The condition exists from several years.

May be injured: This sounds like an old injury to the calf muscle which may have resulted in adhesions (scarring) as part of healing. A new growth must also be ruled out. A diagnostic ultrasound can be ordered, but an MRI would be more useful. It needs to be examined. See a podiatrist, foot/ankle specialist or orthopedist. ...Read more

9-hour flight. Ankle was noticeably swollen. Looks much better after 2 days. Now thigh has bulging spot. Mild aching. No redness or warmth. Doctor?

Deep vein thrombosis: This definitely needs evaluation, because what you describe is consistent with a 'DVT' or deep vein thrombosis. Since you were sitting still for 9 hours, the blood in your legs wasn't circulating well- and that means you could have formed a clot in the leg that is swollen. A doctor can do a quick ultrasound to determine if that's true. Then, you may well need treatment depending on the findings. ...Read more

Why do the vein on the back of my left hand (near knuckle of middle finger)bulge in only one small spot? It happens on and off. No pain. Is it worrisome?

Vein: Veins dilate in association with fluid status. The size of a vein will change in relation to total body fluid, activity of extremity or position of extremity. Pressure on proximal part of vein. As long as the vein does not stay distended should not worry. However if red, tender and firm get checked. ...Read more

Wat does " u have 5 spots on ur spine that r bulging out " mean? Should I b worried? I askd but all he said was I'm fine

Not much information: I presume these were disc bulges noted on a lumbar or cervical MRI. It's not uncommon for disc bulges to be noted on MRI studies. It depends on the size and location whether these are significant lesions. In most cases, this finding is normal or at least common for your age group but must be considered in conjunction with your symptoms and exam findings. ...Read more

See Ortho-spine MD: These symptoms could be due to intermittent compression related to your bulging disc (s), they do not sound like symptoms related to IIH. If the symptoms do not subside quickly, a trip to the nearest ortho-spine doc or ED is well-advised. The longer the symptoms persist, the greater the chance of permanent damage. My 6 month old baby fell and her soft spot has bulged 2 days after. Does she have any brain trauma?

You are prob. Okay: •the anterior fontanelle is not fragile, but also not the spot you truly want to expose to the elements. It’s soft and vulnerable as there is no bone between your baby’s brain and the outside world. Good planning in the anatomy world afforded multiple layers of tough tissue protecting your baby at that spot.
If serious: baby would be fussy, irritable, hard to arrouse, & perhaps vomiting. ...Read more

Is there a male g-spot?

Maybe not important: For males, being able to achieve orgasm is usually not a problem. Therefore, anorgasmia should be evaluated by a doctor. The erogenous zones at the end of the penis provide ample stimulation. However, some internet sites refer to prostate massage as the "g-spot". Prostate massage requires entry into one's rectum, which is where billions of stool bacteria live, so may be best left unexplored. ...Read more
