Multiple Sclerosis in me not active. MRI shows bulging disk in neck an lower back (bulging in not out) Does it have anything to do with my walking?

Let's analyze: If you possess bulging discs in neck and back, these are NOT affecting your walking in any fashion. Do you need a second opinion? If your gait is deteriorating, there are reasons, and you need answers. ...Read more

Although they do not actually "slip, " a disk may move, split, or rupture. This can cause the disk cartilage and nearby tissue to fail (herniate), allowing the inner gel portion of the disk to escape ...Read more

Can a herniated or bulged disk in neck cause tremoring of neck and hands on the side affected?

Can a herniated or bulged disk in neck cause tremoring of neck and hands on the side affected?

Possibly: Compressed nerve roots can cause fasciculations (small spasms) in the muscles controlled by that root, and these could be perceived as tremors. Also, weakness from root compression can upset the balance of opposing muscles, causing a type of tremor as your brain tries to compensate. However, if you are having tremors, there are many other possibilities, so you should talk to your doctor. ...Read more

Had an ESI done on Tues. to help relieve the bulging disk in my neck. The shots have only made more pain and in new areas. Should I be concern?

Bulging discs: I would contact the person who preformed the injection and check in with them. You may be experiencing normal injection site pain but it is possible to have a reaction to the medication. It does take the steroid a few days to kick in so it is not surprising pain not better as of yet. There are also rare occasions where injections can get infected. ...Read more

My doctor has told me I have a bulging disk in my neck and lower back. The pain has now spread around to my hip. Is this normal? Been on gabapentin.

Back and hip. : Bulging disks in the low back can certainly cause hip pain. Discs however in the neck do not. It is very common for pain to start in the back and slowly progress and start to radiate along the path of the nerve which can be in fact in the hip area. Gabapentin tends to work best for burning or searing pain however dull achy toothache like discomfort rarely responds to that medication. ...Read more
