Need a photo.: Since you mention there is a vein, it may be a hemangioma, which can occur in this area, but it could be a small cyst or even a stye or chalazion. If there is no redness or drainage of the conjunctiva *white part of the eye) then it seems safe to bring it to the attention of your doctor at her next well child visit.

Bubbling or bulging of a clear film on my sclera when I move my eyes side to side. Also, there's yellowish brown discoloration around iris that seems to be moveable as well under lower eyelid too?
Causes of chemosis: Bruce, It looks like you have some fluid that accumulated under the conjunctiva (the clear film covering your sclera) and this is called chemosis. It can be clear, pinkish or yellowish. Is it on both sides? How long has it been there and what were you doing when it started? Is it painful? Have you tried using artificial tears? There are many things that cause this, need more info.

Yes, it can be done: You need to see an oculoplastic surgeon. We deal exclusively with the eyelids and eye sockets and we are ophthalmologists. We typically follow patients with graves eye disease. There are several surgical options for graves patients, including orbital decompression, eye muscle surgery and eyelid surgeries for both eyelid retraction and bagginess. Go to asoprs. Thyroid, others: In the 19 year old age group, thyroid malfunction is the most likely diagnosis. Less common are tumors behind the eye, some primary and some metastatic. If the bulging is accompanied by pain, especially on eye motion it could be infectionl this always requires evaluation and you should see a neuro-ophthalmologist or oculoplastic surgeon (not an optometrist).See 1 more doctor answer
Many possible causes: The most common cause of proptosis (a bulging eye) is thyroid eye disease. This most often causes both eyes to bulge, but very often is asymmetric and only one eye is noticeably bulging. It can also occur due to a growth in the eye socket or vascular malformation.
Baseline opthalmome: Meter measurements would be helpful. There are normals for different ages, pediatric versus adult. Also lab tests can help to point to other possible causes, as well as imaging only if warranted. An eye exam would be helpful to see if there's any refractive error or other causes for asymmetry, and A scan. Can your lids close shut to keep your eyes from drying out? If so, then good. C your eye Dr.
Eyes: There are medical and non medical causes for the eye to appear to bulge. If it has always been this way then, like most people, you may have some facial asymmetry. If it's new or changing you could have hyperthyroidism, infection or other swelling behind the eye and it should be checked immediately. It is extremely urgent if it is painful or your vision has changed.
