Bug Bite Prevention
I bite my tongue in my sleep. I've tried a mouth guard, but I spit it out during sleep. Any suggestions on prevention?
Mouth guard?: Do you mean a custom made occlusal orthotic, commonly called a night guard, or an over-the-counter drug store item, or a sports mouth guard. Your grinding, clenching, tongue biting may be due to an airway problem or a malocclusion. Please see an Orthodontist to evaluate your occlusion AND your general dentist who may refer you onward. I heard a cold/sinus inf. can be prevented or shortened by putting a bit hydrogen peroxide in ears. That dangerous? Effective? How should I apply it?

The ear drum (tympanic membrane) separates the ear canal from the middle ear and eustachian tube, unless there is a hole in the ear drum. Remember, you can "spray the front window of the house with a hose, the people in the living room won't get wet." ...Read more

Carotid dissection: Minor trauma and physical activity have been associated with carotid artery dissection including sports, amusement park rides, even coughing or sneezing.
