A few thoughts: First, everything in moderation. Soy/textured vegetable protein (TVP) is a good product with a lot of protein/low cost. But TVP is highly manufactured and subjected to high heat etc in processing. TVP causes GI side effects in some people and is reported to mimic estrogen effects in women. Most also contains MSG. Can not really call it a health food..OK in moderation/2-3 servings per day. ...Read more
