Try and See.: I would love to see if your other heel would show "cysts" also. I'm not sure if the orthotics and/or orthopedic shoes are going to help, but, give them a try and see. "Bruising up" implies damaging of blood vessels and subsequent leaking of blood into the tissue area. The Achilles tendon, like most tendons, does not have a great blood supply. Ankle Sprain: Well you have suffered one of the most common foot and ankle injuries. Certainly you may have some tendon/ligament injury. In addition if the pain is localized and sharp on the outside of the foot, you must have an X-ray taken because there are many other injuries that could occur, on could be a fracture of the base of the 5ht metatarsal called an avulsion fracture (This is quite common) Good Luck ...Read more

Depends: How long it takes a tendon/muscle injury (sprain, strain, etc.,) to heal depends on how serious the injury is. Since you have needed therapy, then the injury is not a minor one. It is also more noticeable because the injury occurred on your foot, which you have to use to walk. (An injured little finger, is easier to deal with, since you don't have to use it as often).
