After stretching walking to begin my jog legs felt weak. While jogging felt weak could not continue due to feeling ill. Now legs hurt and feel weak?
Weakness: Is it possible that your feet are not properly functioning? Have your podiatrist evaluate you for proper foot function. You may require inserts called orthosis in your shoes. Also consider new shoe gear. If those measures are not helpful, then you may consider that there is a systemic problem that is causing your weakness. Unlikely: If both legs were hurting, it is very unilikely to be a blood clot, particularly at your age and if you are otherwise healthy. Different answer if you are on birth control pills and a smoker, but still unlikely to be a blood clot in both legs. What part?: What part of the thigh becomes numb? Hopefully it is the upper outer part. This is caused by compression of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve, which is at the outside hip. Pushing too hard...: The skin turning red is a sure sign of an inflammatory process is happening. Standing for hours at a time does not usually cause a reddish patch to appear. Your comment on how your other foot may be resting on the shin, does sound reasonable. Just before normal tissue starts to break down from too much pressure, it turns red.
