Bruised And Swollen Top Of Foot
Swollen foot. Not red/bruised. Top of foot hurts when I walk or bend my toes. Do I need to see a doc?
Nerve: Could be irritation to the superficial nerves close to the skin surface.
Injuy to foot two weeks ago. Started off as a knot, then bruised all over top and swollen. Still bruised and swells w/ activity. Now hurts...didn't b4?
You would need: To be evaluated in person by a foot doc. The question is to general and a clinical exam including palpation of the foot range of motion testing and possibly xrays to arrive at a correct diagnosis is warranted.
Swollen/pain top of foot, no break shown. Wearing small removable bootcast. Having MG enough onweakness BUT normal for extra pain/weak due to unlevel?
Swelling-damage: Usually swelling means some type of damage, either injury or systemic issue. Since you state you hurt foot, I would recommend trying rest with elevation, cold pack, compression with ace wrap, elevation. If this does not take care of swelling and pain, see your pcp, podiatrist or orthopedist.See 1 more doctor answer
I landed on my foot wrong now the bottom of it hurts and the top is bruised and swollen. What could be wrong?
Pain and bruising: After a landing on it wrong usually indicates an injury. An x-ray is likely needed to rule out a fracture if you are having pain.
I banged the bottom of my foot, falling off of a pogo stick. Both bottom and top of foot bruised with pain when stretching my foot. Could it be broken?
Could be: See your doctor, you may need an x-ray after evaluation to rule out fracture, best wishesSee 1 more doctor answer
Toes/top of foot swollen. I can't seperate my toes. Icing causes more pain/swelling. Feels like it weighs 10 lbs. Swells all the time. Hurts every day for the past 3yrs. Why is this happening to me?
Need to find cause: Of the swelling. I would imagine if you had the condition for three years, you must of sought prior help. Why don't you share what was told to you so far? Without seeing your foot, you don't provide enough information to make an educated diagnosis......See 3 more doctor answers
Tripped, fell, top of foot swollen for 5 days. Painful, switches between mild and severe. What do I do? No other part of foot swollen.
Get checked: You could have a fracture and there is no way to be sure without an x-ray. Don't walk on it, if it hurts. If we could tell whether or not you had a fracture by reading your description or just by looking at the outside of your foot, then x-rays would not have been invented! Get checked so you know how badly you are injured and how long it will take to heal, too! Hope it's nothing major!See 2 more doctor answers
I landed on my foot wrong and I thought nothing of it. Now the bottom of my foot hurts and the top is bruised and swollen.
Rice now.: Sounds like you would benefit from the RICE protocol. Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation. Painful on the bottom and bruised on the top could mean a fracture is possible. See how it feels tomorrow. If the foot still is painful when bearing weight, then you will need an x-ray to verify possible bone trauma. I'm sure a Healthtap specialist can guide you through your care.
Black dot under skin on top of foot? My wife said it suddenly started burning. Doesn't appear to have a bite mark or swollen. Any ideas?
If it's your foot-: -how does your wife know it's burning? Such lesions can only be evaluated by an office visit to a dermatologist.
The top of my foot is swollen and bruised. It hurt earlier but there is no pain now. I don't know what happened. Any suggestions on what is wrong?
My top of the foot has been swollen and bruised for two weeks. Very hard to walk on it. I noticed a protrusion on the inside of my foot?
See details: Then see a podiatrist and have the foot evaluated.
They said X-ray says no breaks but ankle, top of foot all swollen and purple...Is it possible it was misdiagnosed? Can't bear much weight.
Ankle Sprain: X-rays only show bone. When you injure your ankle you can injure the ligaments. Ankle sprains can cause severe pain, swelling and purpura. This is all due to the fact that rupturing of ligaments and small vessels occur. Since no fractures were seen your best bet is to treat as a sprain. This is usually treated with rest, ice, compression and elevationSee 1 more doctor answer
I dropped a metal water bottle filled with ice water on top of my foot. It is swollen and bruised but pain is mild to moderate. Is it broken?
Xray or time: Are the only two ways to be certain of this. An xray can be done to check for any fracture. If you are able to walk and bear weight normally, you could wait and see how things are in several days and seek medical care if you've had no improvement. Most injuries like this are contusions to the soft tissue; ice, elevation, and over the counter pain relievers can help. Good luck!
