Bruise On The Ear From Wrestling
Be proud of it: I'm going to assume this is from an old injury and you're not describing an acute situation. These are caused by hematomas that aren't evacuated as they should have been. It takes an elite plastic surgeon to try to fix an established cauliflower ear, and the results are uncertain. Many rugby players & fighters are 'proud' of theirs -- Mr. Couture seems to be (photo). ...Read more

How long will it take a bruised nerve in my head, near the back of my right ear to heal? Been suffering for almost two weeks. Thanks
Depends: Damage to the nerve can recover within a few weeks if the problem requires simple localized re-myelination of the nerve sheath. If the nerve axon was injured it takes longer to heal. (Wallerian degeneration followed by re-sprouting of the nerve axon and successful navigation down the hollow nerve sheath back to its original location.) This depends on the distance the nerve has to "travel" (months) ...Read more
