Bruise On Right Clavicle
I think my daughter might have broken her clavicle but there's no bruising or swelling but when i touch that area she says it hurts ?
May not see bruise: The clavicle is one of the more common bones to break in the body.In kids it can crack & be maintained in place by its surrounding fibrous sheath & the only initial sx may be point tenderness at the point of the crack. Within a day or two a bump may arise over the surface of the bone.If the kid doesn't want to use the arm/shoulder & complains about that location it is worth a visit. ...Read more

If I press just under my right clavicle it is super tender. It feels like a major bruise, yet there is no visible bruise or swelling.
Continue to monitor: I would continue to monitor it. It depending upon where along the clavicle you are experiencing the tenderness it could be a bone bruise, muscle or joint sprain or even tender lymph nodes. In the absence of trauma, decreased function or worsening of symptoms, watching waiting would be appropriate. Certainly, see your primary care physician if it worsens. ...Read more

Sternal end of clavicle is grinding after acromioclavicular joint decompression. Tender only when I move the arm certain ways? What could it be wrong?
Inflammation: It depends on how long ago your AC joint decompression was. If the surgery was recently, it may be irritated/inflamed from surgery (positioning?) or from certain rehab exercises or overcompensation to protect AC joint. If the surgery was several months/years ago, there could be a small cartilage injury or some arthritis in the SC joint. This joint can become lax and get excess motion too. ...Read more
