Can a mammogram be done without squeezing the breasts? Had one yesterday that bruised I do not wish to have more mammograms after that if i never had one gain i will be fine hurt so bad!

No, a mammo: can't be done without compression. However, compression should not cause bruising. Please give it another try next year. Tell the tech what happened to you. They can't do it without compression, but they can do it with less compression so it doesn't cause bruising. ...Read more

It depends on their : The color of the spots is the clue as to their source or cause. It may be bruising which causes small leakage of blood on minor trauma. If this persists, go see your doctor for examination and get your blood checked to be sure your platelets are normal. ...Read more

Plugged Ducts: You may have a plugged milk duct problem. Be sure and alternate your positioning as you breastfeed the baby to be sure that all portions of the breast are being adequately " drained " as the baby feeds. Best to ask your PS: Bruising can occur with any surgery. It may take one or two weeks to resolve completely. Extreme bruising can be a sign of excess bleeding, so it would be best to call your plastic surgeon and inform them about what is happening. ...Read more

No ,it is highly unl: It is not so easy to create Cancer. Trauma certainly can not change our body cells that much, so it is highly unlikely that you have to worry about Cancer unless there is a growth or lump already present there. Sometime in the future you should get a mammogram(when you are near 40 years old) of this breast,just to be sure. But they would not like to do X-rays in younger women.(under 30 year old) ...Read more

Bruise: It could be a hematoma - a collection of blood - usually due to trauma. Or it could be an enlarging benign cyst. Neither are serious - more of a nuisance and discomfort. May need to be drained. I agree with the re-evaluation. ...Read more
