L eye bruised: hello ~ you dont give much history. Was there any trauma to eye? Is there any visible change like swelling, bleeding in eye (sub conjunctival), infection, or any visual changes. Depends: Lots of people have "retro-orbital" pain. It's common in migraines. So it could be nothing, or it could be a tumor or aneurysm growing behind your eye. The "bruised" feeling is most likely just your brain's interpretation of this particular pain. Also depends on whether it's new or not. Just watch: If there's no pain and no blurriness of your vision, I would just treated as a bruise and watch it. If you had any kind of medication that could thin your blood such as aspirin or nonsteroidal meds, that could be the culprit. If it doesn't get any better then you can be evaluated by your PCP. ...Read more
