I started receiving iron injections in my buttocks 2 months ago. 1 a month. I now have 2 bruises on both sides that aren't doing away. Are these perm?
No: Bruising can be from bleeding from the injections you are receiving or from a new trauma. If the bleeding was in the deep tissues like muscles, the stagnant blood can take some time to seep under the skin and thus seen as a bruise. The spreading of blood this way helps it to dissolve. It might take some time to do so. Repeated bruising would require a work up by your doctor. ...Read more
My husband notices big bruises that appear on the back of my thighs and buttocks. They are unexplained bruises without pain. What could cause this?
For months my buttocks bones feel bruised. I haven't excercised or do anything to cause this. After sitting on hard or soft seating still hurts. Why?
Bruised Coccyx?: Sounds like a bruised coccyx. This could have occurred because of prolonged sitting on a hard surface (wooden bench?) if often takes a long time to heal. If you are required to sit on a hard surface (bench at game, school) it would be advisable to use padding or a device such as a donut (round, small pillow). ...Read more

My daughter had a very rare tumor on her buttock. A year ago. Now she having pain in the same leg and bruises are coming up. Could it be another tumo?
Possible: Not knowing what type of tumor she had to start with makes it very difficult to state whether it could be a recurrence. Are single petechiae spots (not clusters) worrisome? I have 3 tiny (1mm) pink ones - 1 on thigh, 1 on buttock, 1 on lower leg. No bruises
What you described is not worrisome, however it is worth watching, i.e, keep an eye on such lesions to see if more are developing. At your next visit to your doctor you should ask her/him to look at the lesions, if any are present at the time.
