Explain it again: Knots in the middle back are quite common and may be due to muscular spasm, sprain, poor posture, and other causes. Hemangioma?: You don't say how old your daughter is. If she is an infant, she may be developing one of the many types of hemangiomas, which are collections of blood vessels under the skin.
