Bruise In Abdominal Coughing
Pressure, bloated, hard feeling on lower left abdomen, tender to touch. Felt when I cough & lean forward. Middle chest pain when cracking back. Cause?
Left lower abdomen: You could have an incarcerated hernia. Hopefully, it is not strangulating from your description. Better have it checked ASAP. You can check about your chest pain then. Doubt it is an item of real severity. Of consideration, have you been coughing a lot lately? H/o of asthma? Brochitis? It can be related to your develop of your hernia.
The cough reflex is a protective mechanism that uses muscles in your throat and chest to expel mucous and saliva that may contain pathogens that would otherwise possibly be inhaled via aerosol or to expel pathogens infecting the throat and respiratory system. Cough benefits the host by reducing load and benefits the pathogen which may then spread via aerosol. ...Read more
Upper left abdominal pain. Tender to touch. Seems swollen compared to right side. Lingering achy pain consistent. Hurts more to cough or move that way?
Get a medical check: Pain in abdomen can be caused by one of many causes some of them can be serious. So if the pain is persisting, you should get a medical examination done from your PCP. If you have cough or fever, get your lungs checked also. A plain chest X-ray can show a pneumonia which can causes upper abdominal (referred) pain
Can Strep cause Lower Abdominal Bloating, Tender Sides, Constipation, Random Cough and loss of appetite? I was tested Positive for Strep.
Not commonly: Be aware, usually one of the hallmarks of strep throat is the lack of cough. Also, this type of infection doesn't tend to have a lot of abdominal like symptoms. If you are taking antibiotics, then it's possible your GI symptoms are related to this. Though, everyone's body is different and with an inflammatory infection like Strep you may be atypical and have GI symptoms like you mention.
Recently noticed a very tender area on the mid right side of abdomen. The area seems hard. Have not been coughing or working out. What could it be?
I have a cold and have been coughing a lot, sneezing, blowing my nose and my upper abdomen has been sore, tender to the touch how long can this last?
Up to a week: Go see your doctor if going on for more than a week. Sooner if symptoms worsen. Most colds resolve in a few days to a week. I'm assuming the abd pain is from coughing, but have that checked out if it worsens or doesn't get immediately worse with cough for a second (as the abd muscles contract with cough or sneeze).
On top of my other health problems, hard to sleep, sore throat, hurts to swallow. Abdomen very tender after surgery, coughing=bad! Dr. Out until Tues.
Pain after Surgery: You don't say what surgery you had or when, and you didn't mention what your other medical problems are. It sounds to me like you should be seen by a doctor. Your surgeon must have another surgeon watching over his patients while he is gone. The things you say may or may not be serious. To be safe, I think you should call the surgeon or go to the emergency room if that is your only choice.See 1 more doctor answer

Sure: Especially if you have no history of getting injured in that area? A spreading bruise is s sign of some internal bleeding coming from somewhere. Get an evaluation.
Superficial bruising: It sounds like superficial bruising under the skin, if that's the case you should see black and blue yellowing in a few days. The cause would be small broken blood vessels
Gallbladder/ liver: Would see a doctor and have tests to see if you have either a liver or gallbladder issue.

Not Uncommon: You could have a bruise from the injection of Heparin (to prevent blood clots) or from insertion or manipulation of the trocars used during the surgery. Alternatively, it could represent a little bit of oozing at the skin closure from the trocar sites. Most of the time this will go away in a week or so by itself. If it persists or continues to grow, see your doctor.See 1 more doctor answer
