Should i be seen right away for a toe that has changed colors quickly after i had a blister on it a few weeks ago?

Should i be seen right away for a toe that has changed colors quickly after i had a blister on it a few weeks ago?

Bleeding: Most likely you had bleeding underneath the skin("bruise"), or sometime, hematoma after trauma/contusion. If no broken skin, unlikely you would have infection. Skin cancer would never grow in "a few weeks". So, it's a non-urgent situation. ...Read more

My 3 year old has bright green poop. Should I be concerned if it lasts more than a few days?

My 3 year old has bright green poop. Should I be concerned if it lasts more than a few days?

Maybe.: Color change in stools can be the result of many things: diet, illnesses, and then the last category: who knows. Sometimes a kid's stool changes color for a week or two then changes back, and the kid is just fine. If your child has a fever or looks really uncomfortable, stomach pain, vomiting, etc. Then see your doctor. Otherwise, it's not urgent and give it another week. ...Read more

I fell a few months ago and got a cut near my knee, turned to a scab, then a blister. I reinjured it a month ago and there's still a reddish hard blister-like lump that doesn't seem to contain liquid, but it hasn't gone away? Should I be patient?

Depends: I would take a photo or see a doctor for a consult. Without being able to see the scab/blister it is difficult to say. Keloids can form at a scar trauma area or it could possible be a funucle. Can't say without knowing more information ...Read more

I have a new mole that appeared 2 months ago. It's raised, a pinkish-orange color (my other moles are brown), and now feels dry and itchy whereas a few weeks ago it felt "normal". Should I be worried?

I have a new mole that appeared 2 months ago. It's raised, a pinkish-orange color (my other moles are brown), and now feels dry and itchy whereas a few weeks ago it felt "normal". Should I be worried?

Not yet: I suspect your lesion(mole) is undergoing some changes due to your bodies defense system and the drying and itching you mention are likely evidence of this. Much depends on where this is on your skin; but if your 'mole' is smooth, symmetrical, color is consistent and the borders are not irregular, the risk that this is a cancer is less. If it gets more worrisome, let a doctor examine it. ...Read more
