Does a woman's period change after she has a tubal ligation?

Does a woman's period change after she has a tubal ligation?

Is the monthly period more painful after tubal ligation?

Is the monthly period more painful after tubal ligation?

No: Your tubal will have nothing to do with your period. Most women have been on some form of ocp, and have nicely controlled periods, including pain. Once you stop the meds, your period may or may not be painful. But, if you would have stopped the pills and didnt have the tubal, you would have still had the pains. Some women go back on the pill for pain management. ...Read more

Why do you still get your period after having a tubal ligation?

Why do you still get your period after having a tubal ligation?

Out of the loop: Normal menstruation depends only on 1) a funtioning endometrium, 2) an open cervix, and 3) a hormonal sequence (estrogen then progestin, then progestin withdrawal) from the ovaries in response to timed hypothalamic/pituitary signals. Thus, a woman with a working uterus, endometrium, ovaries, and pituitary can have a period. Notice the fallopian tubes are not part of the loop. ...Read more

On 7/3 I had a tubal ligation and nexplanon removed. Still no period should I be worried or is this normal?

Probably: It will probably take a while for it all to get out of your system. How long? That probably varies, But the best sign is development regular periods (or getting pregnant). So decide if you want to get pregnant or not and act accordingly. If not, get on an alternate form of birth control toute suite (that's "pronto" for those of you in the West...). ...Read more

Ever since I've had my tubal ligation I've been in horrible pain. Every time I ovulate or have my period the pain is unbearable. What can i do?

Talk to your doctor: While you could have some scar tissue from the tubal ligation causing pain, it is more likely that your previous contraceptive was treating the pain and your problem now isn't the surgery but the fact that you have stopped that contraceptive. Your doctor should be able to make some suggestions for treating the pain. Hope this helps. ...Read more

Just turned forty spotting during ovalation and I have tubal ligation done in 1999 is this normal?

Just turned forty spotting during ovalation and I have tubal ligation done in 1999 is this normal?

Ovulation spotting: As a woman ages, the ovaries require more stimulation from the pituitary to produce an egg at ovulation. This provides a large increase in estrogen production, and that level of estrogen drops to near zero just prior to ovulation. Similar to why bleeding occurs at your menses, degeneration of some of the lining of the uterus causes spotting to frank brief bleeding: i.e., it is normal. ...Read more
