Calculus?: If the spots are behind your front teeth then it is likely calculus formations. See your Dentist for evaluation and your hygienist for professional cleaning. Ask for strategies to help prevent the calculus (tartar) buildup in the future. Some form it much faster than others. If not calculus, then can be demineralization/decay. Same plan. I: I agree with dr. Davantzis' recommendation. Unusual pigmentation in the mouth may be something a benign as racial pigmentation or a freckle or an concerning as cancer such as a melanoma. The only way of getting an accurate answer is have the lesion evaluated by a specialist and obtaining a biopsy of the tissue, usually a simple in office procedure done under local anesthesia. ...Read more
