How likely is it that my brown, flaky discharge is just spotting. It's my first month on seasonique (I am on week 6 now) we use condoms every time.
I think it is: Likely that your brown, flaky discharge is old blood/spotting. Seasonique is a combination oral contraceptive pill containing both estrogen and progesterone. Especially early on, there can be alterations in the balance of these hormones and spotting results. I wouldn't worry about this. If bleeding becomes more intense or persistent, review with your prescribing Doctor. Good wishes:)

Hi, I suffer from a brown flaky discharge in my urine. I might have a STD which I caught from the public toilets and also I having mild abdominal pains.
I'm having light red and brown flaky discharge on day of period and vagina wall is tight but cant get tampon in. No infections. Could I be pregnant?
At the end of my period. Usually I'll have brown discharge a day or 2 after. Was brown and now it's greyish and flaky. Is this old blood or infection?
Vaginal discharge: Without seeing it and examining you it is impossible to be sure, but this sounds like old blood. If you continue to be concerned have your GYN take a peek at you.
The brown may: Be due to older blood being cleaned from the uterus. If you have a change in color, texture, odor or amount of vaginal discharge ; problems such as pain, itching burning with urination or sex or redness/swelling then it is best to see your gynecologist for evaluation ; accurate assessment.
Mucous Colors....: The brown is probably some aged blood in the mucous...The nasal cavity can leak blood when you have a lot of swelling or mucous production. This is part of a human body and it does not sound as if this is abnormal.
Brown D/C: Brown discharge often contains older, deoxygenated blood ; may be seen after the period.
Infection?: It seems that you have a vaginal infection which could be due to BV or Trichomoniasis. You need to see your provider for exam and treatment.
Discharge: If you have an abnormal discharge, you need to get it checked. Likely an infection.
