Brown discharge: A brown discharge in early pregnancy may be a sign of miscarriage. In first trimester miscarriages the fetus dies first and then bleeding occurs. That you had an ultrasound means the fetus is alive. In this case the bleeding may be from a subchorionic hemorrhage. That's maternal bleeding, not placental bleeding. Most of these resolve and the pregnancy continues. You need a follow up ultrasound. ...Read more

Pregnancy (Definition)

When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

Im 10 weeks pregnant and today I have a brownish discharge should I get nervous its little though what should I do?

Im 10 weeks pregnant and today I have a brownish discharge should I get nervous its little though what should I do?

Relax a little bit: Bleeding (even light spotting) during pregnancy is never normal but is often not a sign of a serious problem. If you recently had intercourse that could be the cause. If you have already had a pregnancy ultrasound that was normal, it is unlikely to be a sign of miscarriage. Call your OB office for advise specific to your case. ...Read more

10 weeks pregnant had brown to reddish discharge. Is it normal or early sings of miscarriage? I'm really worried

10 weeks+d/c: Hi Janet309 Unfortunately it could mean both, so reduce my activity, bedrest as much as I could and no sexual intercourse. If it gets better it means the fertilised ovum has implanted well, and if not, the signs of early miscarriage is uterine cramps ( could be severe) and increased bleeding to heavy bleed and passing of products of conception thru the cervix and out. See a doc b4 then thx ...Read more

Get an exam.: 6 days is significant, and you should get checked out to see what is going on. Have you had an ultrasound to ensure your pregnancy is intrauterine? In any case, brown discharge is unusual and a sign of something that should be followed up. ...Read more

I am about 9/10 weeks pregnant & havea prenatal visit on tues. But today I have been having some brownish and bloody clear sticky discharge. No cramps?

Threatened miscarria: Any spotting or bleeding in early pregnancy is called a threatened miscarriage. It does not mean you will miscarry. Usually the bleeding is from the implantation of the embryo and newly forming placental tissue onto the surface of the uterus. There is no treatment other than waiting to see if it resolves. If the bleeding gets extremely heavy or if you have pelvic pain, evaluation would be needed. ...Read more

10 weeks pregnant with brownish discharge, ultrasound is fine, hCG :102000 miu/ml , progesterone :130 nmol/l, should I be worried?

10 weeks pregnant with brownish discharge, ultrasound is fine, hCG :102000 miu/ml , progesterone :130 nmol/l, should I be worried?

No: Brown = blood. "decidual bleeding" can be lumped together with "implantation bleeding" and we can call them both "first trimester bleeding". I'd estimate 20-30% of pregnant women have some type of first trimester bleeding, and many go on to have normal pregnancies. An ultrasound is the only way to know that things are ok in there. The hormone levels are not so important at this point. ...Read more

Maybe: but unlikely if you had a regular period on 8-31-14. Since your periods are not regular to begin with, I would recommend just doing a urine pregnancy test - it it's negative, then don't worry. ...Read more

Sexualy active cums inside all the time. Brown discharge for a week slight cramps then blood for 4 days then light brown again could i be pregnat?

It is possible: Pregnancy is always a possibility. You need to have a pregnancy test. If it is positive you need to be seen by a doctor for follow up (confirm intrauterine pregnancy and not ectopic pregnancy) if your are not attempting to conceive and are sexually active i advise you to consider a reliable birth control method and should be careful not to catch a sexually transmitted disease (std). ...Read more
