Today is my first menstrual period and the blood is dark brown. Is this normal?

Period light first: When you are experiencing the first few days of your period (or sometimes your last), you can have slower rate of bleeding. This can often be seen as just brown blood or lighter bleeding, as opposed to the bright red you're used to. This is common, and nothing to worry about. Best wishes.

There may be a: Little hormonal imbalance as the process begins. The brown clumps are likely just old blood/ tissue being cleaned from the uterus.

Black = old blood: The color of the blood in your menstrual cycle is not useful or relevant. It reflects how long the blood has been sitting inside your uterus or at the back of your vagina. Red is new. Brown or black blood is older and the blood products have started to break down. Menstrual blood color is not something you need to pay attention to. If your cycles are heavy consider birth control for regulation.

What can cause menstrual period to always only consist of black/clotty blood through the entire cycle? From Day 1 to last day. Has been happening for nearly 2 years.

What can cause menstrual period to always only consist of black/clotty blood through the entire cycle? From Day 1 to last day. Has been happening for nearly 2 years.

Terminology: Do you mean cycle as in, days of menstruation, or days of full female cycle. Dark blood during a reg period is ok. Dark blood thru full cycle needs to be evaluated promptly.

Can the sperm be washed away by the blood in your menstrual period? For example, you had sex during the 3rd day of your period and you haveaheavyflow.

Can the sperm be washed away by the blood in your menstrual period? For example, you had sex during the 3rd day of your period and you haveaheavyflow.

Can't count on it: Sperm are very good swimmers and are very determined to swim upstream to reach their goal. Kind of like salmon swimming upstream back to their spawning ground.

Feel pain during menstrual period and only small amount of blood comes?

Vag Bleeding: First check a pregnancy test. Abnormal vaginal bleeding has many possible causes. By itself, it does not necessarily indicate a serious condition. But if you are having extreme pain that is unusual for you, you should see your GYN doctor. Http://www. Webmd. Com/women/tc/abnormal-vaginal-bleeding-topic-overview#1

Is it true that useing tamponds will give u less blood during your menstrual period?

Is it true that useing tamponds will give u less blood during your menstrual period?

Myths: No. But you may perceive less blood because you do not appreciate how much the tampon has absorbed. Feminine hygiene products do not change the menses or menstrual cycle.

Is it normal in the middle of menstrual period to not have any blood for over 12 hours and then have bright red blood again?

Normal: Many women will have skips in their cycle. They will bleed a few days, stop, and then continue bleeding. It can be aggravating socially, but it is not harmful.

My menstrual period is count only 2days and a little blood only comes out. It is very painfull. Is it a sign for any desease in my ovary?

My menstrual period is count only 2days and a little blood only comes out. It is very painfull. Is it a sign for any desease in my ovary?

Probably not: Your periods are likely a variant of normal. If you have regular gyn exams and everything checks out, then you should be ok. Endometriosis or other conditions need to be excluded, and would be with a gyn evaluation.
