You will need a medical history, a physical examination to include auscultation of your lungs and you might need a chest xray as well. That is unusual: The hallmark of acute bronchitis is coughing and so if no cough, i would not call it bronchitis. Maybe u were coughing before and the cough medicine is suppressing your cough?
