Bronchitis for few days-Bad cough with green mucus, mild fever on/off, body aches....getting better but now severe sore throat- no spots. Need doctor?
Dr. can check throat: Throat symptoms can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), a cold or other virus (antibiotics usually not used), allergies or irritants, sinusitis, stomach reflux when asleep, etc... Usually, a person sees the doctor if the throat is bothersome, recurrent, or doesn't go away quickly (mainly to check for strep and review the story to see if sinusitis or reflux might be a cause). ...Read more
I have bronchitis symptoms no headache or body ache or fever.
Only feel the absolute need to cough maybe 20 times per day. Started 3 days ago.
URI: Cough can be the main symptoms of a cold or upper respiratory infection. Are you short of breath? If not, then you can manage your symptoms at home with OTC meds like Dayquil and Nyquil. In a non-smoker these symptoms will resolve on their own within 7-10 days. Antibiotics do not treat viral infections. ...Read more
Bronchitis 4 wks/ possible asthma. Extreme fatigue, body ache and headache b4 using inhaler. Felt great afterwards. Y did I cough hours later? Asthma?
Inhalers.: Generally speaking, the beta-agonist inhalers will suppress symptoms for a few hours without eradicating the underlying medical issue, be it asthma, bronchitis, emphysema or something else. So they’re for symptom relief, not cure. Like taking a cough drop for a pneumonia. That’s why your symptoms came back so fast. You may need more intense, curative treatment prescribed. ...Read more
