BLOOD VESSELS IN LEG: This could be a problem if it has lasted for a long time. I would certainly recommend you see your primary care physician as soon as possible. You may need a full examination including your heart. High blood pressure might be a cause, do not delay!

Will require rehab: Hamstring strains are common injuries in an active population and a common sports injury. A sharp sudden pain and possible pop is experienced. The severity of the injuries is graded from 1-3. A 1 is a slight pull and a 3 is a tear. Strains can be in the substance of the muscle or can involve tearing of the attachment to the pelvic bone. A comprehensive rehab program is needed for a full recovery.

Does a blood clot in the veins cause a cold leg?

Does a blood clot in the veins cause a cold leg?

No: Generally clots in the veins cause swelling and pain. The leg tends to have a normal or slightly warm. These clots can travel to your lungs with pain and shortness of breath. A clot in the artery diminishes blood flow to the legs and causes them to be cold and without pulses and with severe pain. Be checked out rapidly for either concern.

Could leg veins cause low blood pressure?

Could leg veins cause low blood pressure?

VV AND BP: Varicose veins and leg veins, in general, have no relationship to low blood pressure. Low blood pressure is a result of other factors.

Possible to have "weak" blood vessels? Sometimes after working out I get a bad bruise on leg which fades to a little knot before slowly going away.

Possible to have "weak" blood vessels? Sometimes after working out I get a bad bruise on leg which fades to a little knot before slowly going away.

Likely Hematoma: You may be working out too hard and rupturing your blood vessels into the exercised muscles. Take it easier, and build up to heavy reps rather than jumping right in. Now, it is possible that your vessels break easily (are "weak"), or your blood is "thin" (you don't clot normally). Avoid aspirin, Ibuprofen and anti-inflammatories (unless you get a hematoma, when they are helpful); try vitamin c.

A doctor gave me trazodone for leg pain he says my blood vessels are constricted and gave me trazodone what should I take?

A doctor gave me trazodone for leg pain he says my blood vessels are constricted and gave me trazodone what should I take?

Talk to the doctor: Please make sure it was given for leg pain with blood vessel constriction. It could be that he gave it to you for your concurrent depression and/or insomnia. But it's also possible that he meant to write a prescription for another medication such as trental, (pentoxifylline) but may have been mistaken somehow for trazodone. Please check with the doctor who gave you the prescription.

Could blood transfusion cause spider veins to a person? If not what could? My legs now hurt if I stood a lot & go red behind thou I didn't have it b4!

Could blood transfusion cause spider veins to a person? If not what could? My legs now hurt if I stood a lot & go red behind thou I didn't have it b4!

Doubtful: Spider veins form in those who stand a great deal and have genetic tendencies. I know of no link between spider veins and blood transfusion. You might want to try some compression wear to help keep them from hurting. If they continue to hurt see your doctor.

It looks like broken blood vessels down my daughter leg (from knee to foot, in about 1 1/2 - 2 " strip)and she hasn't banged or scraped her leg. What could be going on?

Petechia: The common causes of petechia are trauma, which usually is a result of a tourniquet type but maybe due to any trauma. Or due to a deficiency in playlet number or function called itp or due to a more serious Meningococcal infection it also could be do to medications. The key is to observe for spread if the petechia or signs of illness. If that happens see a doctor asap.
