Are there lazer treatments for repairing damaged toenail beds? I broke my toe four years ago and damaged the nailbed and the toe nail has never been able to grow all the way back.

The ridges on the nail are an indication that you may be chronically traumatizing your toenail. The new nail will grow out but may be slightly deformed. You should probably let the podiatrist take a look. ...Read more

OPEN FRACTURE: My question is: When the nail became torn off, was the nail bed cut open exposing the toe bones. If so, this is called an open fracture, with a chance of bone infection. If you were my patient, I would get a CBC, ESR, and MRI, checking for osteomyelitis. The MRI can also detect a non-healing fracture. Good luck. Dr. Latva ...Read more
