Broke my foot last Friday. There was no swelling or bruising. Tonight I noticed a large blue bruise in the area of the break. Gone to work. Bad idea?
What Fracture?: A broken foot can describe a lot of things. There was no swelling or bruising for 6 days. I can only assume there was no or minimal pain, since you did not mention it. If: If you have no insurance (and no means to pay), you can still go to an er and have it x-rayed. This way, at least you'll know for certain whether it's broken, and also how badly. If it's a bad break that needs to be reduced (put back), I'm not sure the er will do that, and you might have to suck it up and go see someone or suffer the consequences of a non-union or malunion, which will haunt you for the rest of your life. ...Read more
