Bright Red Spots On Lower Legs
I have developed bright red spots on my lower leg after helping my parents in their yard. I am 41 & never seen this b4. What could it b?
?? poison ivy: Some people are more sensitive or resistant to poison ivy than others, and it is common for people who had hardly any reactivity when younger to the plant (literally rubbing themselves with poison ivy-- don't try this btw- causes no reaction) to begin to get some sensitivity when older. 40 is an age when this can happen. Especially if rash is itchy you can see an md for treatment and advice.
-psoriasis on elbows/knees -recently used apple cider vinegar (orally) & olive oil/acv baths -now many bright red spots on thighs and lower leg -help!
Some possibilities..: Rashes are difficult to describe in words. A primary care doctor or a dermatologist can examine a red spots rash to see what it might be. Sometimes rashes are related to medications, but many times they are not. For unusual rashes, a skin biopsy may be done by a dermatologist. Other causes include viral infections, allergies and autoimmune reactions, chemical irritants, bug bites, etc...
Please see: Please see your dermatologist for evaluation and to discuss treatment options. You may need a biopsy to find out what this is on your legs.
My lower legs are swollen and itchy. I also have some red spots where it is swollen. They sweep up more during the day and go down at night time.
Leg swelling: Many possibilities for leg swelling. You need to see your doctor for an examination to find out why your legs are swelling and to get treatment.
I have a rash on both lower legs, no itching, no pain, slightly raised. Red spots, noticed on 9/04/2014, starting peeling about a week after that.
There are many: Questions: first your age, second recent history of fever, illness, any history of contact with allergens, and of course see what the rash actually looks like. My suggestion is that if your rash does not clear in 2 weeks I would see a dermatologist for diagnosis and treatment. There are many things you may have but most likely if rash resolves it is related to virus or contact. Hope that helps
Woke up with red spots on 1 leg. Next day more red spots and on both lower legs. Spots are itchy, slight bump in center. Dry, irritant throat @ night.
Possible reaction: It is difficult to assess without seeing the lesions but it can represent a bite or even represent a reaction to a viral upper respiratory infection. I would see a physician so that they can perform the appropriate evaluation or tests for this if it does not improve.See 1 more doctor answer

I have a dry itchy rash on my arms, chest, lower legs and upper back. It looks like small, red spots. I had severe tonsillitis which cleared up just over a week ago, and was given ciprofloxacin (not sure whether it helped). Any idea what could be causi
Scarlet fever: The rash can appear before illness or up to 7 days later. The rash can last for up to 2 to 3 weeks before it fully goes away.
Dry skin eczema: Nummular (coin shaped) eczema is extremely common on the lower legs. Dry skin starts the condition, and scratching (excoriation) worsens the itch and rash. Usually, a topical steroid is required, often a strong prescription steroid. If your condition worsens with steroids, ringworm (tinea corporis) must be ruled out. In general, I recommend shorter warm showers (not hot), nonscented lotion daily.

Give it time: Small hemorrhages in the skin will fade with time. Let it heal by itself, intervention can only make it worse.See 1 more doctor answer
