Bright Light In Left Eye
Lately I've been having a bright light shoot through my left eye, I lose vision for that split second. What could this be?
'flashes of light' with vision loss may be a sign of detached or 'detaching' retina which is an emergency. The retina is located at the back of the eye and is important for normal vision.
Detached retina can be painless and progress to vision loss--so it is best to get seen by an ophthomologist right away. ...Read more

Seeing reflection of: Blood vessels in the retina. Those lines are a reverse image (shadows) of what is in your eyeball, and you are seeing it at some jagged edges, when in reality, it's a vascular tree of your blood vessels in your eye, and quite normal. A bright light can be ocular migraine or can be phosphenes when you touch your eye and see a temporary light internally. This is benign in any case. ...Read more

Interesting: While it might be a function of your complicated medical history/situation, it is wise to see an eye dr for a dilated (/fundoscopic) examination and thorough evaluation to be sure there is not a direct issue with your eye or visual system.
