All solid zirconium that support span of 4 unit bridge covering teeth 11 to 14 broke after 10 weeks. Previous porc bridge also broken. Causes/options?
Dynamic forces: Many factors can lead to this, but most important are the support base and the bite. This is a long span to cover when starting with the canine, but do not expect the zirconium to fx. Likely clenching/grinding without occlusal guard/compliance . See the expert in reconstruction - Prosthodontist. Consider 2 crowns and 2 implants (12,13) with crowns and bite correction (lower arch). good luck. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Impossible to say: There are too many factors that would determine this, not simply the creatinine number. There are many patients with a creatinine of 6 who do not yet require dialysis, as well as those with a lower number who do. This is something best discussed with your nephrologist. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Implant based bridge VS regular bridge on natural teeth. Which is stronger on back teeth for grinder. Regular bridge on natural teeth broken 4 times.
Situation dependent: If the natural teeth are strong and have good bone support, then it is better to keep them. If they are damaged in some way, extraction and placement of implants is the next best choice. As a grinder, best materials are strong metals or BRUXZIR zirconium. Regardless, you must protect your investment by wearing an occlusal night guard, preferably with an anterior discluding device. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers
Feedback or cons/ bros on using all solid zirconium to support the length/span of 4 unit bridge covering teeth 11to14. Prevosiue porc bridge broken?
Very strong: An all zirconium bridge contains no metal and is very strong. Another bridge option is a porcelain over metal bridge, which you may already have that has broken. Other options for replacing missing teeth would be implant(s) to replace the missing teeth or a partial denture. However, we are big proponents for all-zirconium bridges that are more biocompatible with the tissue than metal based bridges ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers
Dental Bridge: The bridge is cemented in place, and is made of more natural looking porcelain. The partial has hooks and wires which are needed to attach to your other teeth to keep the partial in place. Furthermore, the partial is a plaque trap and can be difficult to eat and speak with. Thoughts about dental bridge made of Zirconium. Any issues cons /pros please. My 4 unit bridge (#11 -14) made of Porcelain/PFM broke off 2 times. ?
Etiology: Must determine reason for failure. Did ceramic break or did bridge come off teeth ? #11 - 14 is a long span if only supported by those 2 teeth. #11 does double duty as it is a corner transition tooth and gets loaded in many directions. Overloading the bite and insufficient tooth to support this are most common causes. See a Prosthodontist for opinion. Consider 2 implants #12,13. Good Luck. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
