Had diarrhea, some fecal material got on/near vaginal area. Washed best I could. 2 days later got yeast infection, confirmed. Could that be cause?

Yeast : I'm so sorry you been suffering with these infections for so long. There are approaches to women with chronic east infection. One is extended administration of diflucan (fluconazole). Another idea is the use of boric acid or gentian violet. Sometimes an elimination diet is helpful. A great book is the v book. Whole nine yards: Diarrhea x 2 weeks and now Amoxicillin known to cause more diarrhea. Make sure the diaper area is clean and dry. You need to use a good barrier cream such as desytin. Nystatin ointment/cream can be used to treat yeast infection. Sometimes a touch of Hydrocortisone in the first few days may be needed to suppress inflammation if that is bad.
