Would/can albuterol or duoneb be taken to help breathing even with a cold or flu and while using sterile saline solution for nasal spray?
Basic and Gentle: Saline is basically a weak solution of salt in water. This closely matches the basic fluid component in our bodies and therefore is very similar to what the cells are used to "bathing" in. Things like betadine, peroxide and alcohol are very damaging to the cells as is "letting the air get to it". You should wet a gauze pad with saline and gently clean the surface of the wound. Dress it after. ...Read more

Saptoplasty care after surgery can I rinse the nostrils with a saline solution after 5 days I feel very stuffy won't see dr until 4 days. Thanks?

Afrin (oxymetazoline) mix with equal part saline solution. Allows for long term use without overdosing. Healthy? Or cancer causing?
The problem with. .: With long-term use of afrin is the rebound effect in the nasal cavity and a potential for increasing blood pressure. Diluting it with saline is not a good long-term solution. There are some prescription nasal sprays that are safe to use for the long-term treatment of allergies and nonallergic nasal conditions. I got a small piece of metal in my eyeball, close to the colored part. I washed it out with saline solution and it feels fine. Should I get it checked?
Not necessarily: If the metal flew in from dust or another low velocity source, it is unlikely that it penetrated the outer coats of the eye which are very tough. If the cornea was involved you will have pain and redness and vision changes. If there is no pain, no vision alteration, no redness and the source was low velocity (not from drilling, hammering etc.) then you can wait and observe. ...Read more
