Yes: E cig is not as innocuous as it may appear. The heated chemical-containing vapor (even if it is "organic") may irritate your throat. The best way to tell is not to use it for 2 weeks and see if your symptoms improve. Pursed lip breathing is sometimes seen with copd as an involuntary means of maintaining positive pressure in the airways to avoid collapse of the tiny air sacs during expiration. Get tested: If you in general healthy young person and feel extremely winded - it is good idea to have " PFT's" - pulmonary function test. If you not smoker and have no asthma - depends how much you run? Some normal feeling of being " winded " happen. With increasing fitness and gradual training it can improve. But get evaluated 1 st .
