Bronchospasm: Airways are made of muscle tissue. Sometimes, that muscle can tighten up like a cramp - that's called spasm. Bronchospasm is seen when someone has a "reaction" to perfumes, allergies, strong odors or steam etc. You should have a pft (pulmonary function test) to evaluate your lung capacity. Several reasons: come to mind. Hot water can cause vasodilation. If the blood gets shunted to the surface to cool you down you may reduce the amount of blood available to reach the brain and you get dizzy. Another thing may be you could have activated a reflex by having water pressure on your neck (people with sensitive baroreceptors in the carotid artery sometime pass out when they use an electric shaver)... ...Read more
