Breastmilk Vs Formula Poop
My lil one is ten days old he wets his diaper a lot but poops only once or twice a day is it normal? He feeds on breast milk and once or twice formula
2 month old is bottle fed and gets a mix of breastmilk and formula.Usually equal amounts of both throughout the day.His poop sometimes contains mucus?
Rectal mucous glands: produce mucous to lubricate the distal rectum for passage of stool. If there is not blood in the poop and infant does not have explosive,, watery stools, then small amounts of mucous would not be worrisome. With a combination of breast milk and formula, some infants will still have soft, yellow frequent BM's and others will have infrequent stools, and more formed. Both are fine.
Breast milk: First i would consult with your pediatrician immediately if your newborn has never stooled as this may involve more than diet. Breast milk is digested more easily and breastfeeding babies tend to have looser stools. However, if your newborn poops but you feel he/she is constipated, i usually reassure parents that all babies have different stooling patterns.See 1 more doctor answer
3week baby poop yelow seedy mucusy after every feed, breastfeeding her 1st n then formula feeding her post it as breastmilk not sufficient, sugest if ok?
Infant stools: Yellow, seedy, nonbloody stools are normal in a formula fed infant. Changing from breast to formula, or changing from one formula to another can cause changes in stool frequency and appearance. Sudden changes in stools, if associated with irritability, bloody stools, vomiting, lethargy or any other symptom of illness should be evaluated prompty.
1 month old baby.Switching from breast milk to formula.Poop is super runny and a mossy green. Is this normal?
Weaning 1 mo old bab: This is not normal. It is far healthier for the baby to continue breast feeding for at least six months before trying to wean.
1 month old baby. Switching from breast milk to formula.Poop is super runny and a mossy green. Is this normal? I myself have run out of breast milk
Dark green loose poop since 2 days for 2 month old baby. She is under nan 1 baby formula from birth since I have less breast milk. Is it ok?
Yes: The color of the stool reflects how quickly it passes through her digestive tract. Loose is OK unless you are dealing with frequent diarrhea. White stool or blood in the stool are problems. Green and loose are OK.
Br.Milk: looser poop: Breastmilk-fed babies usually have looser, more watery, poops when compared to formula-fed babies. Breastmilk has ingredients that encourage the intestines to move the poop along, so the poop leaves the baby sooner (a faster transit time means the poop doesn't stay in the baby long, so the poop doesn't get drier nor firmer). Formula-fed babies have firmer poops and more easily get constipated.See 1 more doctor answer

24days baby drink breastmilk+formula, usually poo 4-5x a day, suddenly dont poo for 2days maybe after I massage him in the stomach coz of bloated.Help!
Baby: BM patterns can change. If no pain, no blood, follow for now. If no BM after 4-5 days, call for advise from your child's provider.
I just switched my 3 month old from breast milk to formula. It's been 2 days and he hasn't had a bowel movement. When should I be concerned?
When it hurts: Bowel movement frequency varies tremendously. If the baby is in no pain, and when the bm eventually comes it's soft and painless, then don't let it worry you. If, however, it's painful, hard, or there is a change in how much the baby feeds, see your pediatrician.
Baby has mucus in stool. Taking ranitidine and only drinks breast milk. No solids or formula. Could this be from ranitidine? Should he see a doctor?
My baby boy 5 month old.poops drak to light green last one week. is it normal?what coukd be the reason.having breast milk rice cereal and Gerber fruit
Foods: As you enter new foods into your babies diet the poop can change color. This is completely normal.
Newborn stools...: Newborn stools can be various colors; however, blue and (especially) white sounds concerning. Get an appointment with her pediatrician immediately and bring a dirty diaper to let them see that stool that you are referring to!
Could be: The poop (fecal matter) from breast milk (congratulations you are feeding correctly) is usually much looser at the beginning of breast feeding you must remember whatever you eat comes through in the breast milk the stool will harden up eventually so go ahead and to continue the breast feeding and enjoy your baby.
My 10 month old's poop was white and clay-like. Should I be alarmed? He's consumed only yogurt and breast milk since he came down with a stomach big.
2.5 month old baby used to poop 3/4 time per day, hasn't pooped in 2 days, bottle fed breast milk only and is extremely fussy, gassy, and pulling legs?
Colic: baby is breast fed but he is exposed to the foods you eat many foods like nuts chocolate or sometimes even milk that you ingests exposes him to it and it is absorbed in a complete molecule.and cause changes in the bowel pattern and gas and discomfort try eliminating these products and reintroduce them one at a time and keep a diary to see what is causing it

Son is 5 weeks old & hasn't had a bowel movement in the past 2 days going on the 3rd day. only eats breastmilk. What's wrong & how can I help him?
Likely ok: Your observation is not uncommon for breast fed babies. the definition of constipation is actually more related to the consistency of the stool. If his stools are soft or pasty he is ok- even if he does not have a bm every day. Early on infants stool very frequently, sometimes as much as after every feeding. That slows a bit as they age. If stools are too firm see your md for evaluation.See 2 more doctor answers
