Breast feeding : Yes and no. Many women describe pains, "heaviness" in the arms, prickly sensations, and other discomfort when feeding. Sometimes, merely adjusting the position of baby helps. Irritation?: Itchy armpits are usually due to an irritation. Try using deodorant stick that does not say anti-perspirant. This helps if you have a blocked sweat duct. Compresses of water/white vinegar may help remove small yeast infection. Make sure if you shave to use a good quality gel and quality razor - not just soap and water - to avoid ingrown hairs.
