I am breastfeeding and have an oversupply of breast milk. I heard sage tea helps decrease breast milk. Is this true?
This is not...: ...A bad problem to have. Most lactation problems i've seen involve an insufficient supply. What i would recommend is that you pump off the excess and freeze it. Breast milk keeps for up to 6mos frozen. That way if you are unable to feed for a while, for whatever reason, you have a supply. I don't recommend doing anything to lessen your milk supply until you are ready to stop nursing. ...Read more

But mom should be safe by drinking the types of teas that have been drunk for many generations, by buying from a reputable manufacturer, and by drinking a variety of teas (so not to get too much of one herb's chemicals).
