I had my 4th C-section 3 weeks ago and have had diarrhea ever scince.I am breastfeeding.I feel fine otherwise what could this be how can I treat it?

Diarrhea: You probably got antibiotics during and after your c section. Because you've had the diarrhea for 3 weeks, it could be related to that. I would actually see your OB doc to confirm what the cause might be. In the meantime hydrate well, increase your fiber intake. ...Read more

Normal : after Your baby was born, the hormone levels in your body will decrease over time (2 - 3 months), your menstrual period may return. Breast-feeding is a wonderful thing to do for you and your baby. Breast-feeding causes levels of other hormones to increase. These hormones will decrease the frequency of your menstrual periods but do not stop your period - 100% of time. call OB doctor for appt. ...Read more

I had a C-section on 11/16. My incision seems to be healing properly, but i'm still spotting. Should i be worried? I'm breastfeeding if that matters.

I had a C-section on 11/16. My incision seems to be healing properly, but i'm still spotting. Should i be worried? I'm breastfeeding if that matters.

Probably fine: As long as it's just spotting and there is no foul odor to the discharge and no pain or fever, it's still in the normal range. Breastfeeding causes contractions of the uterus which may squeeze out some additional blood from time to time. If you haven't already had your 6 week check-up have it soon to discuss further with your doctor. ...Read more

I'm 12 days now from c-section delivering a bb boy. What are the foods not to eat to produce a lot of milk for breastfeeding? My milk is very little.

Mother's Milk Tea: Is awesome at enhancing milk production. Look for lactation consultants in your area. It is unusual to have little milk unless you have had breast augmentation or reduction. Low thyroid can also affect milk production. Look for an acupuncturist as well as acupressure points can stimulate milk production. Drinking milk is not helpful as it can be allergenic for the baby. ...Read more

Is it normal to get nosebleeds while breastfeeding? I had a c-section almost 5 weeks ago and i'm taking nurofen for the pain of the scar.

Nosebleeds: It is not normal to have a nosebleed while breast feeding you should. Have an ENT doctor check your nose and cauterize the bleeding spot. In the meantime use a fingernail dollop of Bacitracin or polysporin (bacitracin and polymyxin) in each nostril 4 to 5 times a day until the nose stops crusting. Do not pick the crusts let them slough naturally. I do not think the medicine for your scar is affecting the nose. ...Read more

I had baby via C Section 3 months ago. I got my periods on 26 march. But this time no periods. I m cramping a lot and exclusively breastfeeding.

Breastfeeding: Disordered and irregular periods are very common when breastfeeding. It is not uncommon for BFing moms to have frequent bleeding or to skip periods. This is because of the anovulatory cycling that happens due to the prolactin surges caused by nursing. Keep in mind you can still get pregnant while breastfeeding and should be on birth control to space you pregnancies for optimal health. ...Read more
