My elder sister is on breastfeeding. Can her husband drink her milk ? Or it will affect on her baby?
No problem, unless..: Unless a mom has too little milk, it doesn't matter at all that somebody else (such as a twin sibling or another person) is drinking some of the milk. The breasts will make more. So, as long as the baby is well-fed and happily growing, mom is fine to share her breast milk. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Interrupt feeds: It is unclear why babies bite, it is however agreed on that they do not intend to displease, so interrupt feeds, indicate to baby that bites are not acceptable, check to be sure baby is well positioned/ latching on well and that milk flow is not too fast. May be a way of letting you know to stop the feeds when full. Be consistent with your response to this behavior and it will pass. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Obviously if mom's milk is gone then it has to stop. Up to you.: There is no medical reason to stop breastfeeding at any age; i've been asked if there is a reason to wean a school age child, and the only one i could think of was that other children would laugh at him. Your own considerations -- job, lifestyle, other children -- usually dictate this decision. Having said that, benefits of nursing become rather small after the age of 12 months. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Expectations: Great advice. I'll add that it can take a good month to get the hang of this new task. Many moms think they should be pros right away.
