I'm in my early 20's and have had breast pain on the underside of my left breast for about a month. Is it cancer? What could it be?
Cancer is unlikely: Cancer is unlikely in your age group and rarely hurts. It could be a poorly fitted bra or some other irritant. Are you doing regular self exams? If so, do you feel anything different? It is most likely trauma. You could have some fibrocystic change which is benign and doesn't increase the risk of cancer but does cause pain usually in the 2nd half of the cycle and is made worse with caffeine. ...Read more

Left breast started hurting, found dime sized knot near armpit, was told breast cancer doesn't hurt, is this true? What else could it be?
See a Doctor: Any new lump in the breast should be a cause for concern, best handled by seeing your gyne or primary care doctor. While most cancers are not painful, it is not a reliable finding. Hopefully, your doctor will be able to alleviate your concern or refer you to a breast center/surgeon for definitive evaluation. I hope its a false alarm--good luck. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

24 year girl I have lump in my left axilla n pain on touch on right side of breast ia dr palpitaed me and suggested amoxiclave but i ve suspect cancer?
Agree with Dr.: Breast metastases in the axilla are seldom painful or tender. You're young for breast cancer though no one's immune. The node may have been doing its job catching bacteria. If by any chance you own a kitten, think of cat-scratch fever and consider tetracycline. If it's not changed in two weeks, consider having it needled for diagnosis. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
