First: First of all, please be sure that your mammograms are up to date. I would recommend that you see your regular doctor, gynecologist or a breast specialist to have a complete evaluation. Of course if that is negative, then be sure that it is not your bra that may have something irritating in it, or that you haven't used new lotions/creams or laundry detergents. Itching, pain, lump: Your complaint pending on when during your period or with any other symptoms eg. Pain, lump, tenderness or pain. It may be a transient discomfort but it persists firstly to rule out allergy or infection. In short if persisted, you should see your f/d or gynecologist to ascertain no underlying serious disease. Hormonal /dermatitis: I would first suspect some type of allergic dermatitis, perhaps to a new laundry detergent, or some new clothing, towels, creams, perfume, etc. Also look at hormonal changes, and possibly a side effect from medication. Tenderness often accompanies menstrual cycle and pregnancy, which alter the hormonal conditions. If none of these seem appropriate and it lasts more than a few days, see your MD. ...Read more
