Breast Implant Removal With Fat Transfer
Breast implant: Removal is surgical procedure that usually is performed under anesthesia. If the procedure is just to remove implants, the procedure is rather short. If however, it is due to a complication such as capsular contracture or implant rupture, the procedure may be more involved. If the implants are large, the skin may be stretched out and a breast lift may be needed to repair any droop that occurs. ...Read more

Does shifting of implants mean I need breast implant removal? I think my implants have shifted. Is breast implant removal the only way to fix it? .
No.: “shifting” of breast implants does not necessarily require removal of the breast implants. If the shifting or displacement of breast implant is significant or bothersome, revisionary breast surgery may be very helpful. Generally speaking, capsulorraphy surgery will serve to adjust the breast implant pocket so that the breast implant (s) remains in better position. ...Read more

Very safe: Removal of breast implants can be done very safely if performed by an qualified plastic surgeon with experience in breast enhancement. Over time, the tissue then shrinks down and usually assumes a very natural appearance. ...Read more
BreastImplantRemoval: Women may decide for various reasons that they are ready for removal of breast implants. Breast implant removal is a straightforward procedure, but the decision must be made whether a breast lift is also desired, as breast implants stretch the breast skin over time, and after implant removal, the remaining breast tissue can appear loose and saggy. Discuss options with your plastic surgeon. ...Read more
Simple: Breast implant removal is simple, and can often be performed under local anesthesia. It is technically easer than the initial placement. It becomes more complicated with ruptured silicone breast implants, or thick capsules. The procedure should be performed by an experienced plastic surgeon in the appropriate setting. Will breast implant removal relieve the pain from my implants? My implants cause me a lot of pain. If I have breast implant removal, will the pain go away? .
This will depend on what is causing your breast pain. If the pain is from a tight capsule or scar around the implant, called a capsular contracture, the answer is that there is a good chance it will help with discomfort. If your breasts are soft with the implants then we cannot be sure what is causing the pain and we be less likely to feel the pain would get better. I hope this helps.

What are some common causes of breast implant removal? Before I consider breast implants, I would like to know what are the most common causes of breast implant removal? .
Will I lose feeling in my breast after a breast implant removal? I must have a breast implant removal because they are causing bleeding that cannot be stopped. A friend told me that once the procedure is done, I will lose all sensation in my breast area.
A friend's "advice": Friends sometimes say things without any real knowledge, which is frustrating. If you have bleeding and your implant must be removed for that reason, then numbness should be the least of your worries. Why are you bleeding? How recent was your implant surgery? How long have you been bleeding? Numbness isn't a big concern with a simple implant removal. ...Read more

I have never encountered a true allergic reaction to breast implants.
If you are referring to capsular contracture of scar around your implants that can be dealt with by your surgeon.
Capsules surrounding any implant is a normal reaction in the body but occasionally women can develop contracture of that capsule making the breasts feel hard and distorting shape.
This is not an allergy to the implants.
This is not an autoimmune response to implants.
Current thought about capsular contracture is that because the breast has is own normal bacteria and the body can have changes in theses bacteria causing inflammation to occur.
Just like a change in normal bacteria can lead to a sire throat or diarrhea...
So complete removal of the capsule and new implants will need to happen to lower recurrence rates.
Placement of implants below the muscle also has been shown to lower these recurrence rates...
Some controversy regarding lower rates with textured implants exists.
Best of luck to you. ...Read more
Patient request: Apart from implant related problems, occasionally women don't want to be subject to maintaining a medical device which has a finite "shelf life". Occasionally having implants doesn't fit their aesthetic sense, as menopause occasionally increases the volume of natural tissue and cup size enlarges. Infrequently implants are removed during breast cancer surgery. ...Read more

Will range with size: The risks of implant removal range with the size of the implant as well as the material and the extent of rupture. Excessively large implants may leave the breast with a sagging or involuted appearance that may benefit from a simultaneous lift. Glandular resection and removals of effected nerves and muscle may be required in cases of extensive rupture. Otherwise, risks are comparable to any surge. ...Read more

Where is the incision made in breast implant removal? Where on the breasts does a surgeon make the incisions for breast implant removal? .
