5 second left breast/chest & center of chest sensation. Not pain, more of an ache or fullness. Muscular?Esaphogeal?Cardiac? Constant cardiac anxiety.

Many causes: Left sided chest pain can be heart related, acid reflux, musculoskeletal, anxiety, gastritis. What causes a 5 second squeezing pain directly between breasts? No other symptoms.Worry about cardiac issue.PCP says heartis ok.Seek out cardiologist?

Check esophagus also: Worrisome heart attack related pain most commonly is exacerbated by activity and relieved by rest. Another common cardiac etiology is mitral valve prolapse related to a tugging of the mitral valve. Common non cardiac etiologies include esophageal spasm (e.g. related to acid reflux, food), or from anxiety with chest muscles constricting. Cardiac evaluation will at least rule out dangerous causes, ...Read more

What causes a 5 second squiggly sensation from center of chest between breasts to right chest / breast? PCP says heart ok. Cardiac?

Palpitations: I would suspect from your description that you're feeling a skipped heart beat. I see you list having had a Holter exam: did they see any extra beats that correlated with your symptoms? You should also understand that people who are entirely mentally healthy may also feel their heart skip when it isn't. Our minds DO play tricks on us! ...Read more

For 2 hours intermittent 30 second ache in and around left breast. No other symptoms. PCP says heart ok.Anxiety?Muscular? Cardiac?Indigestion?

Hormonal Changes: Anxiety is possible. Before I consider it anxiety, I would look into hormonal changes that are common after the age of 35. Breast exam and a baseline Mammogram and a symptom chart based on your menstrual cycle are the basics I would do first. Decrease your caffeine intake, take some Ibuprofen and increase your physical activity for 3 months. If this does not help, then it is time to get a consult ...Read more

Can you please recommend some supplements to help heal non-cardiac chest pain? Been dx'd with fibromyalgia, costochondritis & musculoskeletal pain...

Can you please recommend some supplements to help heal non-cardiac chest pain? Been dx'd with fibromyalgia, costochondritis & musculoskeletal pain...

Anti-inflammatory: It's not just supplements, but your diet needs to be a non-processed one with plenty of anti-oxidant fruits and veggies, and whole grains. Get rid of fried foods and polyunsaturated oils -- use healthy fats like extra-virgin olive oil instead. Turmeric and ginger are good spices to use. Can supplement with magnesium & calcium to relax & maintain nerves & muscles. Boswellia may help also. ...Read more

Chest hurts n the center dull pain and through shoulder blade. Ekg echo holter monitor good. Upoer gi shows inflammation and esphoglal spasms ulcers?

Good eval: It sounds like you've had the complete evaluation to find the cause of your pain. You should have good recommendations from the gastroenterologist who performed the procedure what to do. I would presume they started you on a drug like prilosec or protonix (pantoprazole). Additionally other medications such as norvasc and nitrates can decrease spasm. You need a doctor for these me. Hope you're feeling better! ...Read more

What causes a 5 second pain to center of chest above breastline below collarbone? Felt as if someone punched me.Pcp says not heart. Cardiac?

Unlikely: The heart doesn't cause "5 seconds of pain". If you're premenopausal, non-diabetic, and a non-smoker, your risk of heart attack is very close to zero. Your PCP was able to examine you and talk with you at more length - he/she's certainly to be believed! ...Read more

What causes a 5 second stabbing pain in the center of chest/ upper abdomen / xiphoid area?Right at braline.PCP says heart ok.Fear cardiac problem!

Not heart: Your pain is atypical for heart disease. You are 38. If you're premenopausal, a non-smoker, and non-diabetic, your risk of heart disease is effectively 0. If you have the risk factor(s) above, a stress test could be justified but will likely be normal. ...Read more

EKG, heart enzymes, chest xray, and stress test ALL GOOD. 21, active. Occasional chest cramp/arm pain. Can I rule out a heart issue?

Almost: can rule out a heart issue . It would be nice if you also had an echocardiogram to rule out mild mitral valve prolapse which can give similar symptoms that you are describing. If echo comes normal then i would think anxiety or acid reflux from your stomach could be the cause of your symptoms. ...Read more

Hx of mild chest pain daily.Severe chest pain about 8 min. In ER EKG subtle abnormal.Troponint .28. Cardiaccath clear. Discharged. Get 2nd opion?

Many other causes: Chest pain even mild has many benign causes and some very serious causes. It could be muscular, gastrointestinal, pulmonary etc. Don't be lulled into false sense of security until all other causes of the pain are ruled out. See your family physician and have him/her get a good history from you and perform a through exam and maybe order some more tests. ...Read more
