I started Valtrex (valacyclovir) for hsv1 the same time i got a Brazilian keratin treatment. I have had significant (loss of ~70%) hair since. Which cause this?
Valtrex (valacyclovir) and hairloss: I know of no known reports of Valtrex (valacyclovir) causing hair loss. As well, I do not think it would interact with your brazialian keratin treatment to cause this effect. Not exactly: Contrary to what it sounds like, a "keratin hair treatment" actually uses an alkaline chemical to break the disulfide bonds of curly hair and effectively temporarily straighten it. The "keratin" part of the treatment is actually the last part, that which conditions and strengthens the hair as well as reversing damage by the straightening chemical.
