How severe are headaches from brain aneurysm? What do people mean by pain behind the eyes? Would there be blurry vision all the time?

Headache in aneurysm: Brain aneurysm does not always cause headache .... Depends on size, location and growth rate. It typically causes pain after rupturing and causing subarachnoid hemorrhage. Pain behind the eyes or back of the head are typical areas of pain with subarachnoid hemorrhage. Blurry vision would depend on the blood pressure and location of the aneurysm. ...Read more

Pain in right eye when looking up or to the left. Could this be brain aneurysm or something serious?

Pain in right eye when looking up or to the left. Could this be brain aneurysm or something serious?

I can't figure: Why you're posting on HealthTap instead of getting yourself to a doctor pronto if you're worried about something as scary as a cerebral aneurysm. Pain in 1 eye ONLY on elevation or nasal deviation ONLY sounds like an eye, not a brain, problem. See an ophthalmologist & have a formal extraocular movement evaluation. May not be dangerous but could turn out to be chronic & debilitating if not treated. ...Read more

I've been having headaches for a week and sometimes pain in right eye. I had an MRI 2months ago, clear. Could it be a brain aneurysm?I'm only 20

Depends: Could be anything from migraine to more severe things. The good news, I assume your MRI was negative if you have not been given any bad news by this point. Migraines are a diagnosis of exclusion. ...Read more

What are the signs of a brain aneurysm I have been getting sick for the past 6 days also I have been getting real bad dizzy spells and bad head pain above the eyes what could this mean?

There : There are many causes for the symptoms you have but brain aneurysm is not at the top of the list. Migraines can cause headache and "dizzyness" for example. Only a physical exam including neurologic evaluation can better define the cause for your symptoms. You may need imaging of your brain depending on the details of your symptoms and the findings on exam. ...Read more

Will a head cat scan show a brain aneurysm?

Will a head cat scan show a brain aneurysm?

Sometimes: If an aneurysm is large, and especially if there are calcifications in the wall of the vessel, it can be seen on ct. However, angiography with a ct (dye in vessels, looking at the vessels themselves) is better test. Mrangiography is also sometimes useful, certainly better than simple ct done without contrast. ...Read more

Can I do reiki and/or Indian head on lady with diagnosed brain aneurysm I am a quality, d experienced therapist. Please advise.

Brain aneurysm: Reiki and head massages are safe exercises for people with brain aneurysms. Not all brain aneurysms are the same in terms of risk for rupture. Some have a very high rate of spontaneous rupture (anterior communicating) and others rarely rupture (cavernous segment). The treatment options are: 1) observation; 2) endovascular coiling/stenting; and 3) surgical clipping. Discuss with a neurosurgeon. ...Read more

No different: Even with Hashimoto's thyroiditis your risk of having a cerebral aneurysm with those symptoms is the same as somebody with no symptoms whatsoever. These are not the symptoms of a brain aneurysm, ruptured or intact. More likely to have sinus issues. Once in a blue moon a colloid cyst of the third ventricle or low CSF pressure will produce this picture. ...Read more
