My front braces bracket is loose but it's late at night. Will it cost a lot to fix it? I've had a loose bracket before but it wasn't on my front tooth
Get it fixed ASAP: If bracket disconnected it means teeth are not moving properly, and you are therefore throwing away your Orthodontic fee. Get it fixed ASAP. Then ask your treating Dentist or (hopefully) Orthodontic Specialist for a list of foods that can damage braces. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I have braces for two weeks now. And one tooth is really loose. Almost seems like it would fall out with the wires were not attached. Is this normal?
Braces are designed: To correct the orientation of teeth. Loose teeth are the result of malocclusion or periodontal disease typically. If the teeth are loose prior to orthodontics due to bone loss, they will be loose following treatment, and can be splinted to decrease the mobility. In some cases if the malocclusion is corrected and there is no advanced periodontal disease, the mobility will eventually disappear. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I wear braces but suffered a little trauma to a front tooth due to a basketball game and it is now loose what to do ?
I wear braces & while playing basketball i bumped into another player & my front tooth was hit. Bracket is ok but the tooth feels loose. Advice?
Wait several days: During orthodontic movement the teeth are under stress and the periodontal ligament connection to the bone is at its least stable. Trauma will magnify this instability leading to a "loose" tooth. If the damage is reversible your tooth should "firm" up in a couple of days and there should be little or no lingering pain. If you have increasing pain and swelling then go see a dentist asap. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Yes: All the teeth may get a little loose although you may just notice one that is looser. The bone cells on the side of the tooth are resorbed allowing the tooth to move. New bone then grows on the other side. This takes time and is the reason retainers are used after the teeth are straight. ...Read moreSee 4 more doctor answers

I got braces on September & I just noticed a while ago that I have loose teeth. I'm concerned because those teeth aren't connected to the wire yet.
It is normal: If your teeth begin feeling a little loose, don't worry, this is very common and normal even if they aren't connected to the wire. Once your teeth have been repositioned, and orthodontic treatment is completed they will no longer be loose. If concerned, ask your orthodontist for more information. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
