Bra rash is super itchy, red, stings to the touch, raised \u0026 inflamed. Days after still red now with bumps with black dots? What are these black dots?
Your initial: Description sounds like an inflammation of skin hair follicles or a friction rash or, infrequently a contact type dermatitis (doubt), the fact that it stings suggests that there is some superficial skin breakdown. If the black "dots" brush or wash off easily and you wore a black bra it is just fibers from the bra. Wouldn't know what else would cause that without seeing. ...Read more

I have underArm bruises with on and off rashes, size 36K breasts and try to wear fitting bras and most times I do not wear a bra at home, causes?
Perhaps the rashes are due to an allergy? I would try a different deodorant.
Liquid washing products and clothes drying additives can also be a source of allergic sources.
The bruises might be due to small size bra. Google bra fitting and they tell you how to measure and calculate fit. If bra pinches it could possibly bruise the skin.
Hope these ideas help. ...Read more

Heat rash under bra. Can I dry it out with rubbing alcohol? Creams don't work. Bath with baking soda is awesome but I can't live in my tub.
It depends: Sometimes the rash can be caused by an infection whether bacterial or fungal. Keeping it dry is important. Hair dryers after bathing and powders are generally recommended. Weight loss and even breast reduction surgery can be considered in severe cases. Rather than rubbing alcohol I would first try aloe vera or another topical known to soothe and address mild topical infections. ...Read more

What to do if I have a rash from the top half of my right butt cheek up the right side of my back to about my bra line. What is this?
Picture/more hx: It is difficult to diagnose rashes without seeing them or obtaining more history. Unilateral "dermatomal" (specific nerve route pattern) suggests shingles. This is due to the chicken pox virus which may remain dormant in nerve. I am unsure from just your description if this is the case - could be allergy to something or poison ivy. I would see MD ...Read more

Possibilities: I agree w the 2 other answers you received. However, direct contact with metal is not common. If the bra is worn out it could expose the underwire. However there is a thick cloth channel surrounding it & the wire is coated in plastic. The underwire can actually break. Yeast infections are not uncommon & excessive pressure from the wire against skin can be problematic. ...Read more

I originally wore a sticky bra. It gave me an awful rash. I noticed a almost skin color mole type bump on my breast that was itchy also. Is this bad?
If reacting to bra..: If skin reacts to a sticky bra's adhesive, or to the material in the bra, she can avoid using that brand of bra. For such an itchy rash, sometimes using a few days of over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream will help the irritated skin get back to normal. A mole in that location would itch too, but should also return to normal. Otherwise, one can get a primary doctor's or dermatologist's exam. ...Read more
