Depends on you: The breast will prepare milk for baby by extracting nutrients from you, your bones/diet/etc. The prenatal vitamins actually protect you more than they do baby. If you want to be stooped over with osteoporosis in your golden years because of calcium & nutrient loss through breast feeding, skip them. Great grandma would have liked to avoid it if she could, you have a chance to. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

6yold ended abx for bronchopneumonia (mild-early dx) yesterday. Breathing, eating well, no complains. Is it ok to play outside, run or should est?
Let 'em play: With that history I have no reservations about turning the kid loose to play. I would let them know it is okay to sit down if they feel tired, but doubt you need to. I have trouble with teens who try to get back to full activities in response to peer pressure. A 6 yo is relatively good at deciding what & how much they can handle after an illness. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Most pts and mds prefer a relaxed, comfortable patient: relaxes the bowel, makes for an easier procedure. Need not be "knocked out", just comfortable. Rare patient asks for cold sober procedure; most don't repeat it that way. Would have IV access anyway, in case you want or need meds or fluids. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
