Spikes in blood pressure due to lifestyle like smoking drinking stress etc is the major cause of cluster headaches...?
No: The cause of cluster headache is not known, but it is a relative of migraine. It runs in families, more common in men, and is not really related generally to smoking, drinking or stress, although in some people there is a specific trigger, and it could be any of those 3 things, and others. In most people, however, it comes and goes in cycles which are specific to that individual and are variable. ...Read more
Why is my bg always elevated in the am? I am diet and exercise controlled, A1c down from 7.6 to 6.3, weight down 30 lbs., low-carb, high fiber diet.
Question?: Do you eat late or snack before bed? Sometimes what people eat late can carry over to the next am and affect the bs. The other possibility is dawn phenomenon. Some people have higher morning blood sugars due to hormones which are highest in the am and they drive up the blood sugar also at that time. Blood pressure going from 96/63 to 88/52. Is this pots acting up? Eating lots of salt and drinking a lot feel bad when its low. Ekg normal. Dangerous?
It is a bit low...: If you are petite/small, BP of 88/52 is not unusual. However, you are saying you feel bad, so you need to get evaluated further. Ekg can provide some info on the electrical functioning system of the heart, and maybe if the heart is thickened. Otherwise, not useful in low BP setting. So, i suggest consulting doc again for evaluation. Good luck. ...Read more

High chol & TGs: Avoid fast food that tends to b deep fried; choose lean meats, oily fish (salmon), foods high in omega-3 fats. Sugary, high glycemic carbs tend to raise tgs.
